Lawyer of PT MIB Denies Intentionally Going Viral with Melani Mecimapro

Kapanlagi.com - Currently, Fransiska Dwi Melani or Melani, the owner of Mecimapro, has been detained and designated as a suspect in the alleged embezzlement of investment funds from the TWICE concert in Jakarta in 2023, following a report by PT Media Inspirasi Bangsa (MIB).

The KapanLagi team conducted a written interview with Melani to request clarification regarding the case she is facing and also about the refund process for DAY6 concert customers.

1. No Intention to Go Viral with Melani Mecimapro

Previously, the KapanLagi team interviewed Melani, the owner of Mecimapro. The woman, whose full name is Fransiska Dwi Melani, mentioned that her case seems to have some intervention leading to it being intentionally viral. In response to this, the legal representative of PT MIB provided an answer.

"Oh, no, there's nothing like that, nothing at all. I think if we talk about the condition of Mecima, it has indeed gone viral. So related to issues outside of our problems, there are indeed other issues. Maybe we are all aware of other problems. So we don't have any intervention efforts, none at all. From our side, there is none. We are just being natural about it," explained Aldi Rizki, the legal representative of PT MIB, when contacted by the KapanLagi.com team on Tuesday (06/01/2026).

He continued, "And indeed, if it's related to that case, there is nothing that is being forced. The case has indeed been proceeding according to the applicable regulations. We have also been handling this case for quite a long time and have conducted many witness and expert examinations. So there is no intervention, nothing is being forced. The criminal aspect is certainly up to the investigators who are authorized to convey this, you know."

2. Legal Process Runs According to Regulations

Aldi Rizki emphasized that their side did not make any intervention efforts whatsoever.

"It's just natural, right? Indeed, it went viral. We were also surprised, our lawyer side was also surprised yesterday when suddenly there were many phone calls. Some were from journalist friends. But for sure, there were no intervention efforts from anywhere. There was no intervention at all," he explained.

Aldi Rizki provided an explanation that the ongoing legal process has been in accordance with the regulations. The report was submitted since early January 2025 and then Melani was designated as a suspect in September 2025.

"So regarding the investigation process, everything is running according to the applicable regulations. The process has also been quite lengthy, starting from when we reported it on January 3, (only) being designated as a suspect in September, that is quite a long time. So there is no intervention and other matters. Everything is running according to normative, the applicable regulations.

3. The Reporter is Summoned as a Witness in Court

The latest update on the alleged fraud case involving Melani has reached the stage where the reporter is being examined as a witness. The PT MIB (Media Indo Bersama) also complied with the summons from the Public Prosecutor.

"First of all, just yesterday on Monday, the victim was examined as a witness in court. Yesterday, our side was present to comply with the summons from the Public Prosecutor (JPU) to be examined as a victim witness and everything was explained in the trial," explained Aldi Rizki.
