Good news for BLINKs (the name for BLACKPINK fans) in Indonesia. The youngest member of BLACKPINK, Lisa, is reported to be shooting her latest Hollywood film titled Extraction: Tygo in her homeland. This action genre film has chosen several iconic locations in Jakarta and its surroundings as filming backdrops.

The police, through the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, have confirmed the truth of this news. He stated that the film production team has obtained official permits to conduct filming activities in several jurisdictions of Polda Metro Jaya and Polda West Java.

The Head of the Old Town Area Management Unit, Denny Aputra, confirmed that the tourist area has been used for filming purposes two to three times. He also leaked that there will be a continuation of the shooting schedule in the same area next week.

The filming permit for the movie starring the singer of the song Lalisa is granted for a considerable duration, from December 8, 2025, to March 30, 2026. This indicates that the film's production process is being taken very seriously and involves thorough preparation.

"Jakarta, Bekasi, and Depok City," said Kombes Budi Hermanto in a text message to the media crew on Thursday (January 29, 2026), detailing the locations that will serve as the filming set for the movie Extraction: Tygo.

Furthermore, Kombes Budi explained that the filming permit was issued directly by the Indonesian National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri). This decision was made because the film's production involves Foreign Nationals (WNA) and crosses two different regional police jurisdictions.

"Because it involves foreign nationals and 2 provinces, (jurisdiction) PMJ and Polda Jabar," he added, providing reasons behind the licensing authority.

One of the shooting locations that has attracted public attention is the Old Town area of West Jakarta. This historic place was chosen for its aesthetic value and atmosphere that support the film's storyline. In fact, the filming process there has already taken place several times.

To ensure smoothness and safety during the filming process, the authorities will implement traffic engineering and temporary road closures. This is because the action film will feature dangerous scenes, including explosions, which pose risks to the general public if they are too close.

"So, it will be closed because there are indeed some dangerous scenes that will pose a risk to those watching, and the permit has already reached the police department due to the explosion scenes," explained Denny Aputra regarding the reason for closing access around the filming location.
