List of 8 K-Pop Idols Who Have Entered the Billboard Hot 100 Chart - Including BTS and New Jeans

Turns out, these efforts have paid off for some music agencies in Korea. Their artists have successfully entered international charts, including the Billboard Hot 100.

1. Wonder Girls

Girl group that was once active under JYP Entertainment has become the first Korean girl group and artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart, you know.

With their hit single titled Nobody, Wonder Girls broke the record for the first time in 2007 by ranking 76th on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This made JYP Entertainment the first Korean music agency to open the door to international K-Pop music.

2. BTS

Next comes from the group known as the most famous K-Pop group in the world today. The success of BTS is undeniably influenced by the many songs that often appear on international music charts, including Billboard.

BTS itself became the first boy group to enter the Billboard Hot 100 music chart in 2017 with their song titled DNA at 85th place.

After that success, BTS gradually climbed the charts with several other famous BTS songs such as Butter, Life Goes On, and Dynamite which have reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

3. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK becomes the second K-Pop group with the most songs entering the international music charts after BTS and the second Korean girl group to successfully break into the Billboard music charts.

After 2 years since their debut, the girl group consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa immediately made a record on the Billboard Hot 100 with their song Ddu-Du Ddu-Du which reached the 55th position in 2018.

Afterwards, BLACKPINK continues to break new records with each song release. The songs Kill This Love, Lovesick Girls, and How You Like That reached the 33rd position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

4. Stray Kids

Another group from JYP Entertainment recently broke their record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In the latest album by Stray Kids called ROCK-STAR released on November 10th, their song titled LALALA debuted at the 90th position on the Hot 100 with a total of 6.1 million streams and 3000 downloads sold, based on data from Luminate.

5. NewJeans

New Jeans, which debuted just a year ago, has made history again with their achievements on the Billboard chart. Three of their songs have made it onto the Hot 100 chart.

Among them are OMG and Ditto, which reached positions 74 and 84 (respectively) in less than a year.

Their latest release, Super Shy, has slowly climbed and finally debuted at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100.

6. FIFTY FIFTY

Who doesn't know the song Cupid by FIFTY FIFTY? This incredibly popular song has reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the past year.

Finally, FIFTY FIFTY became the fastest group to debut on the chart and stay on the Hot 100 for 25 consecutive weeks. This is the longest record broken by a girl group.

7. Jungkook BTS

Solo debut from one of the BTS members, Jungkook, with a single titled Seven has achieved a new milestone with its debut on the Hot 100 chart.

What's even more surprising is that the song, released on July 14, 2023, debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This marks Jungkook's highest individual achievement in his career as a musician, surpassing his previous accomplishments with his group, BTS.

8. Jimin BTS

In addition to Jungkook BTS, there is also Jimin BTS who has achieved individual success outside of his activities as a group musician, reaching the highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Securing the first position is a sign of the success of Jimin's solo debut with his song Like Crazy, which has been streamed over 10 million times.
