In this drama, Jisoo plays the main character named Seo Mi Rae. She is portrayed as an independent webtoon producer who is tired of the pressures of life. This character has a fragile emotional side, especially when it comes to romance. This makes Mi Rae seek an escape from the reality she faces every day.

Seo Mi Rae is known as a hardworking individual dedicated to her profession. However, the monotonous routine traps her in prolonged boredom. The constant pressure from work also shapes her complex emotional side. This condition becomes one of the main reasons she seeks alternative happiness outside of real life.

Mi Rae is described as often experiencing relationships that feel empty and unsatisfying. This experience leads her to choose a virtual dating service called Monthly Boyfriend. Through this service, she tries to find her ideal partner without the risks that usually come with real relationships. The virtual world becomes a safer escape for her.

The character Seo Mi Rae appears far from the glamorous impression often associated with main drama characters. Her appearance is simpler and reflects everyday life that is close to reality. This style reinforces the grounded impression that the story aims to convey. It also makes her character feel more relatable to the audience.

In the storyline, Mi Rae must confront Park Kyeong Nam, played by Seo In Guk. This character is a colleague and also a rival who has a perfectionist nature. The dynamics of their relationship become one of the important elements in the story. This interaction is expected to bring about conflict as well as interesting character development.
