New Big Hit Entertainment Building Almost Completed, BTS and TXT Ready to Move!

Kapanlagi.com - Big Hit Entertainment, the 'home' of BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT), recently announced the progress of the construction of their new building which will serve as their office in downtown Seoul. In fact, according to The Korea Herald, the new Big Hit Entertainment building is almost completed.

According to Min Hee Jin, Chief Brand Officer of Big Hit Entertainment, the exterior of the building is almost finished. Work is now focused on the interior of the building.

"The expectations of the public, especially fans and the industry, are very high for this move, so we want to optimize the interior design to enhance the grandeur of the building's exterior," said the former creative director at SM Entertainment.

1. New Building of Big Hit Entertainment Located in Yongsan

If the old building of Big Hit Entertainment is located in the Gangnam area, southern Seoul, now the location of its new office is more strategic. This is because it is situated in the heart of Seoul, precisely in the Yongsan business district.

Just like the current office, in the new office, Big Hit Entertainment chose to rent instead of buying the building.

However, Big Hit Entertainment rented the entire building with 19 floors and 7 basements, making it feel like they fully own the building.

2. New Building of Big Hit Entertainment Will Be Equipped with a Cafe and Merchandise Shop

The relocation of Big Hit Entertainment to the new building follows the increase in the number of employees and the establishment of new divisions in the company. Moreover, Big Hit Entertainment has also acquired Source Music and formed a joint company with CJ ENM called Belift.

Industry observers predict that all of these subsidiary companies will operate in the same building. Interestingly, besides the office, the new Big Hit Entertainment building will also have a cafe and a merchandise shop.

3. New Big Hit Building to Become a New Tourist Destination for Fans

The decision of Big Hit Entertainment to move to Yongsan, according to industry observers in Korea, is uncommon for entertainment companies. Most talent agencies are located in Gangnam.

Meanwhile, Yongsan is more like a business center that connects two financial centers in Seoul, Yeouido and Gwanghwamun.

Nevertheless, industry observers also believe that the relocation of Big Hit Entertainment to the Yongsan area is predicted to create a new tourist destination for fans.

Moreover, the new Big Hit Entertainment building is conveniently accessible by foot from 3 subway stations, namely Yongsan, Sinyongsan, and Ichon. In addition, its location is relatively close to Gimpo International Airport.

BTS, TXT, and all Big Hit Entertainment employees are planned to move to the new building in Yongsan in May 2020.
