Recently, tvN released an interview with the actor. The 38-year-old actor revealed his reasons for wanting to take on this role.
At first, Lee Dong Wook revealed that he was happy to receive positive responses from fans. He also revealed the reason why he wanted to play in a fantasy drama.
"It's like a mix of genres rather than just fantasy genre, so I'm happy when reading the script. I like the concept of a male gumiho breaking people's assumptions about what a gumiho is," he explained as quoted from Soompi.
To showcase his charisma in acting, Lee Dong Wook admitted that he often practices for action scenes at a stuntman school. He claimed to have worked hard to make his scenes look detailed. In addition, the actor who played Yi Yeon also changed his appearance to better embody a gumiho.
