Profile and Interesting Facts of 6 ASTRO Members, Handsome and Talented Boyband from Fantagio

Kapanlagi.com - ASTRO is a South Korean boy group under the management of Fantagio Entertainment. They made their debut on February 23, 2016, with the release of their mini album titled Spring Up and the main single Hide & Seek. Before officially debuting as singers, they first debuted in the acting world and appeared in a web drama called TO BE CONTINUED. It aired on August 18, 2015, on Naver TV, and in that web drama, ASTRO acted alongside Kim Sae Ron and some members of Hello Venus.

ASTRO consists of 6 members, namely JinJin, MJ, Cha Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky, and Sanha. They refer to their fans as AROHA, which stands for ASTRO heart all fans. This boy group won their first trophy with the comeback titled All Light on the SBS MTV THE SHOW music program on January 29, 2019.

1. JinJin

The first profile comes from ASTRO's leader, JinJin. He was born on March 15, 1996 in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, with the real name Park Jin Woo. His position in the group is the main rapper and lead dancer. This blood type A owner has one older brother. Before becoming a trainee at Fantagio, JinJin trained at NY Dance Academy in his hometown. He underwent trainee training for 3 years.

JinJin once auditioned for the rap survival show, SHOW ME THE MONEY 5. His skills are beatboxing and playing the drums. If he didn't debut as an idol, he wanted to be a drummer. He participated in the JYP Entertainment x HUM audition in 2012 and won a one-year scholarship from Seoul National University from that audition.

When he first entered Fantagio, the first person he became friends with was Sanha. MJ is nicknamed the 'Happy virus' because he always laughs. He calls himself the 'Smile Machine'. This seafood-loving idol said that someday he wants to open his own sushi restaurant. If he didn't become an idol, he would like to be an architect. 3. Cha Eunwoo

Cha Eunwoo was born on March 30, 1997, in Sabon District, Gunpo, Gyeonggi, South Korea. His real name is Lee Dongmin and he is the eldest child with one younger brother. He is a vocalist and visual in the group. He is known as the real-life version of a handsome young man in shojo manga. He is also nicknamed 'Morning Alarm' because he is the most diligent in waking up early and waking up other members.

This idol, who is also an actor, has often played roles in dramas, one of which is ROOKIE HISTORIAN GOO HAE RYUNG, MY ID IS GANGNAM BEAUTY, and the upcoming TRUE BEAUTY. Before his debut, he also appeared in the film MY PALPITATING LIFE in 2014. His skills include playing the piano, guitar, clarinet, and DJ. Eunwoo and JinJin are the most fluent in English among the members of ASTRO. He was selected as the brand ambassador for Visit Seoul 2020 and promoted tourism in Seoul through 360° VR videos.

4. Moonbin

Born with the name Moon Bin on January 26, 1998 in Cheongju, Chungbuk, South Korea. His position in the group is as the lead vocal and lead dancer. Before joining Fantagio, he was under the management of Kids Planet Entertainment and debuted as a child model in 2004. He once portrayed So Yijeong or Kim Bum as a child in the drama BOYS BEFORE FLOWER. Moonbin is a member of ASTRO who went through the longest training period of 7 years.

An idol who has skills in dancing, acting, and water sports, he has been practicing taekwondo since the age of 7. His hobby is playing games, while his favorite foods are beef and shrimp nigiri. He is good friends with SinB GFriend, Chanwoo iKON, and Chani SF9. Together with Sanha, Moonbin debuted as the first sub-unit in ASTRO with the song titled Bad Idea on September 14th. They also won their first trophy on the music show THE SHOW 8 days after their debut.

5. Rocky

Park Min Hyuk or often called Rocky was born on February 25, 1999 in Jinju, South Korea. His position in the group is as the lead rapper, main dancer, and vocal. Just like Moonbin, Rocky also went through 7 years of training. He is the best dancer in ASTRO and is nicknamed the 'Dancing Machine'. He also created the choreography for the songs Morning Call and Fireworks.

Rocky has been learning to dance since the age of 5. He attended the same dance school as SinB GFriend and Eunseo WJSN. This idol, who has reached the level of a 4th-degree black belt in taekwondo, once represented his province in a championship. Besides being skilled in taekwondo and dancing, he also has cooking skills and is nicknamed 'Chef Minhyuk'. He has covered SHINee's song Replay and has shown his high vocal range, proving that he is not only talented in dancing and rapping, but also in singing. His role model is G-Dragon.

6. Sanha

The latest member profile of ASTRO is Sanha. Born on March 21, 2000 in Seoul, South Korea, he is the youngest member of the group. He is also the youngest of three siblings. This idol, who started as a trainee in 2012, occupies the position of lead vocalist. He has studied at A-Sound Music Academy.

Sanha has a talent for playing the guitar, which he learned from his father and older brother. If he were not a singer, he would like to be a guitarist. Together with Moonbin, Sanha debuted as the first sub-unit in ASTRO with the song Bad Idea on September 14. They also won their first trophy on the music show THE SHOW 8 days after their debut. He is also a member of the 00z project group with Bomin from Golden Child, Daehwi from AB6IX, and Hyunjin from Stray Kids.
