Release MV 'Dynamite', BTS Immediately Breaks Record of 10 Million Views in 20 Minutes

Kapanlagi.com - Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS has released their newest song titled Dynamite. And this new BTS song has set a new record shortly after its release.

As scheduled, BTS released the song Dynamite through the official Big Hit Labels YouTube channel on Friday (21/8/2020), at 13:00 KST or 11:00 WIB in Indonesia. And it only took 22 minutes for the new BTS MV - Dynamite to be viewed more than 10 million times.

This record is the fastest among the records previously set by BTS. On February 27, 2020, the song ON by BTS also broke the fastest record, reaching 10 million views in 65 minutes after being uploaded.

Interestingly, BTS, who previously released songs with Korean lyrics, fully used English in the song Dynamite.

Quoting from Allkpop, in a recent interview with BTS and USA Today, they revealed that the reason for releasing Dynamite in English is related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Who would have thought about this pandemic? No meetings, no karaoke, no concerts, and we can't even go to the park," said RM.

"We didn't initially think about releasing it in full English. The idea came during the process," he continued.

In this song, BTS also invites the Army to step together to face the pandemic that is currently affecting the world.   

2. Retro Concept

In this new music video, BTS chose a retro concept, with a combination of various bright colors that add a cheerful impression to the video. Not only the color tone, BTS also took the setting of several places, such as restaurants, vinyl shops, and other typical American places in the 80s era.

Apart from the video, the music carried by BTS in the song 'Dynamite' is also equally retro. The combination of guitar strumming, drum beats, and distinctive bass lines from 80s pop and disco music are also highlighted in this song.
