Set in the year 1999 when many people feared the world would end, Eun Chae-Ni (Park Eun Bin), a cheerful girl with a heart condition living with her grandmother (Kim Hae Sook) in Haeseong City, suddenly gains superpowers after being involved in a mysterious incident. Her two neighbors, Ro-bin and Gyeong-hun (Choi Dae Hoon and Im Sung Jae), also acquire similar abilities, although their powers are imperfect.

Amidst the mysterious disappearance of several people, Chae-Ni teams up with Lee Un-Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), a government employee from Seoul known for being rigid and mysterious, to uncover the truth. Together, they must face a dangerous figure that threatens the peace of Haeseong City.

2. At the beginning of the episode, we will be invited to learn more about Eun Chae-ni, starting from why she becomes rebellious, her relationship with her grandmother, to her friendship with Ro-bin and Gyeong-hun. It’s best to focus, to understand the characters.

4. Although this drama seems full of jokes, the story is not that simple. It will remind us of the Hollywood series, STRANGER THINGS, as well as other similar Korean dramas that came before it.

5. The characters played by Im Sung Jae and Choi Dae Hoon can be considered scene stealers. Their character antics often make people laugh, in contrast to Chae-ni who is rebellious or Un-jeong who is cool. Their characters could become audience favorites.

6. When it comes to acting, we really don't need to doubt Park Eun Bin. She can make us feel endearing with her quirky behavior and ideas. She successfully breaks out of the characters in her previous dramas.

7. Cha Eun Woo is also very suitable for playing the cool and mysterious character Un-jeong. Additionally, his visuals are truly eye-candy, a refreshing sight for those who miss Eun Woo during his military service.

8. The WONDERfools not only manage to make us laugh but also keep us curious about the storyline, endearing us with the characters' friendship and making us fond of Chae-ni and the others.

9. Another thing, the color tone of The WONDERfools successfully makes us feel like we've returned to 1999. The gadgets and settings are all very retro. Although perhaps the technological advancements make us feel too modern.

10. According to Kapanlagi.com, THE WONDERfools received 8/10 because the story is funny and heartwarming. Plus 11/10 for Cha Eun Woo's handsomeness!
