Rian D'MASIV Will Release a Cover of Suho's Song on EXO's Anniversary on April 8

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, Rian D'MASIV caused a stir among K-Pop fans after admitting that he is currently enjoying a new song by Suho EXO entitled Let's Love. The D'MASIV vocalist shared this on his Twitter account. This came about after many of his followers commented that Suho's song sounded similar to D'MASIV's songs.

“Initially, I had no intention at all. It's like I was idle, not doing anything, just staying at home with many canceled activities. Many said that Suho's song has a similar vibe to D'MASIV's songs. I got curious,” said Rian when contacted by a journalist on Thursday (4/2).

“Coincidentally, my child also told me that Suho is from EXO. I knew about it before, but not really familiar with it. My child said, ‘oh, he's an EXO member, and that's his new song, but it's in a band style. When I listened to it, the song is actually good. So, it's a new song, but it has an alternative atmosphere,” he continued.

1. Promise to Cover Suho's EXO Song

Because of his tweet, many EXO fans asked Rian to cover Suho's song. Rian promised to cover the song if his Twitter followers could reach 100 thousand in 3 days. However, unexpectedly, his followers reached 100 thousand in less than a day.

"Finally, I tweeted that I liked the song. I didn't expect it to become popular, but when it did, I said that many people asked for a cover. Okay, I'll make 100 thousand followers in 3 days. But I didn't expect it to reach 100 thousand in less than a day. My mistake for saying that, haha," said the singer of 'Jangan Menyerah'.

"Originally, I didn't have any intentions, we were just having fun, but they took it seriously. So, because of that promise, I have to fulfill it. If I don't, it could be dangerous for me. Because from what I know, K-Pop fans can be quite fanatical," he continued.

2. Will be Released on EXO's Anniversary

Rian is currently practicing seriously to cover Suho's song. The plan is to release the cover on EXO's birthday on April 8th.

“It seems like April 8th because their fans requested that date since it's EXO's birthday, hopefully it won't be late,” Rian concluded.
