Seungri is one of the figures who is still being talked about even though he has announced his withdrawal from the celebrity world after being involved in the Burning Sun case, which led to him being imprisoned for one and a half years and released in February 2023. Recently, Seungri has been reported to be pursuing a career in China.

I am currently living in Korea and most of my trips abroad are because I am invited to a friend's wedding or for personal vacations. Additionally, I have no business meetings or other plans anywhere."

Not only denying that he is interested in returning to the entertainment world, Seungri also denied that he is involved in various economic business activities in China.

After his case, Seungri is now receiving a new nickname from the Korean public. Seungri's name itself means 'victory'. Now he is often called paebae which means defeat. "It seems people like to criticize and mock me. It has become like a meme. They no longer call me Seungri but paebae, and maybe that's something interesting."
