Shin Minah Eks ILUV Attempt Suicide Again, Unable to Handle Netizens' Harsh Comments

Kapanlagi.com - According to several news outlets, a former member of a girl group with the surname "Shin", aged 22, was saved by the police at 12:17 on Wednesday (9/9/2020) yesterday. She was found at Seongsan Bridge in Seoul, attempting to commit suicide.

The police stated that they received a report of a woman in her 20s climbing the fence of Seongsan Bridge. They immediately dispatched to the scene, rescued, and handed the woman over to her guardian.

1. Reveal Identity

After being rescued, the former idol revealed her identity in a post on social media. She is Shin Minah, a former member of ILUV who recently gained attention for revealing the bullying she experienced during her career as an idol. In the now-deleted post, she apologized to her fans for her actions.

"I won't try it again. I apologize for making all of you worried. I will never think of bad things again. Thank you for all of your support. Thank you so much for saving me today. Thank you to the fans who reported," Shin Minah expressed on her Instagram account as quoted from Koreaboo.

2. Can't Stand Being Bullied by Netizens

In addition, Shin Minah also posted screenshots of articles discussing her suicide attempt on Instagram. Along with this post, Shin Minah pleaded with netizens to stop flooding her with hateful comments.

"Please stop giving hateful comments, it feels very heavy," wrote the former K-Pop idol.

3. Weight Loss

A few hours earlier, Shin Minah revealed that she had lost weight drastically due to stress and challenges she had experienced. In fact, her weight had dropped to 35 kg.

"My original weight was 40-42 kg. Initially, I was already underweight, but due to stress and not eating, my Naver profile stated 38 kg. My weight increased to 43 kg when resting at home and trying hard, but the situation became very difficult, so my weight dropped back to 35 kg. Now my weight has returned to 39 kg after being treated in the hospital and consuming appetite stimulants. Even though I have tried hard and eaten, it takes a long time to gain just 1 kg, so I will try even harder. Today, I also can't sleep, it feels very heavy and painful," said Shin Minah.

4. Not the First

This is not the first time Shin Minah has attempted suicide. Previously, on Wednesday (15/7/2020) morning, Minah posted a farewell message on her personal Instagram account.

On the same day, Minah posted a video on her YouTube channel and revealed that she went to the Han River. However, fortunately, Minah was saved by a police officer.
