Isn't it sad when we hear that our favorite idol group has to disband? It definitely breaks our hearts and makes us cry in the corner. The disbandment of these groups is usually based on the extension of the idols' contracts with their agencies. However, there are also some idol groups that have to be disbanded by their agencies for various reasons. What's worse, some disband after less than a year due to contract obligations. But as fans, we always hope for their return or just a reunion, right? So here is the list of idol groups that have officially disbanded and are eagerly awaited for their comeback through social media.

First, there's Myteen who debuted in 2017, but unfortunately, Myteen had to disband after two years of debut. It is said that the group only had one comeback before disbanding. There are two former trainees from PRODUCE X 101, namely Kookheon and Yuvin. Many fans still hope for Myteen's comeback in the K-Pop entertainment stage.

Then, there's PRISTIN who debuted in 2017 under Pledis Entertainment and officially disbanded in 2019. Out of the 10 members, only three members renewed their contracts with the agency. Many fans protested because PRISTIN's disbandment was considered unfair and PRISTIN's popularity declined due to poor management by the company.

There's the first boy group formed by Starship Entertainment, Boyfriend, which was formed in 2011. Unfortunately, Boyfriend's popularity declined further because the agency chose to focus on promoting Boyfriend in Japan, and they officially disbanded in 2019.

The group from the first season of PRODUCE 101, IOI, debuted in 2016 and officially disbanded because their contract had to end by the end of January 2017. Most of the members debuted in new groups, while some became solo singers. IOI was supposed to have a reunion at the end of 2019 but it was canceled due to the Mnet voting manipulation scandal.

B.A.P is a group that debuted in 2012 and has members known for their versatility and high standards as an idol group at that time. However, TS Entertainment wasted B.A.P's potential and caused the group to disband. Two members left the group in 2018 after their contracts ended, and the remaining four left in 2019.

SISTAR, also known as the 'QUEEN OF SUMMER,' was formed by Starship Entertainment in 2010. Their popularity skyrocketed due to their enjoyable summer-themed songs. SISTAR officially disbanded in 2017, and all the members continued their careers as solo singers.

There is a boy group from Mnet that was born through the PRODUCE X 101 program, X1. Unfortunately, X1 had to be disbanded after 5 months of debut due to a scandal of vote manipulation in the program.

Another one is WannaOne, formed in the second season of PRODUCE 101 in 2017, after IOI officially disbanded. WannaOne's contract ended in late 2018, although their final concert was held in January 2019. Most of the former members of the group started their debut again as solo artists.
