Starring Ji Chang Wook and Hwang In Yeop, Check Out the First Trailer for the Latest Korean Drama 'THE SOUND OF MAGIC'

Kapanlagi.com - Ji Chang Wook's latest drama, THE SOUND OF MAGIC, will soon be available on Netflix on May 6th. This six-episode drama follows the lives of two teenagers that turn into an amazing story after meeting a mysterious magician.

As it approaches its premiere, THE SOUND OF MAGIC releases its first trailer that shows a clearer picture of the narrative, visuals, and the relationships among the three main characters: the mysterious magician Ri Eul (Ji Chang Wook), Yoo Ah Yi (Choi Sung Eun) who has to give up her dreams due to life pressures, and Na Il Deung (Hwang In Yeop) who is required to fulfill his dream. Through their meeting, this fantasy music series brings a universal message about the true meaning of growing up presented through a mysterious and magical story.

Ji Chang Wook explained his role by saying, "Ri Eul is a mysterious character that will definitely pique the audience's curiosity. The line between right and wrong is blurred in Ri Eul's eyes because she builds and lives in her own world."

Based on a popular webtoon titled ANNARASUMANARA by Ha Il Kwon, THE SOUND OF MAGIC still carries a similar message about how its characters exist between the real world and dreams, and how magic can solve problems. Director Kim Sung Yoon proposed this adaptation idea to the webtoon writer 10 years ago, and now they are ready to present an extraordinary story to global audiences.

3. What Does the Writer Say?

Writer Kim Min Jung tried to bridge the gap between the webtoon version and the live action by paying attention to every detail. She commented, "The process of fixing various detail elements is not easy. I always have to make sure that the song lyrics match the plot, accurately depict the character's feelings, and determine what kind of magic is suitable for the character Ri Eul."

ANNARASUMANARA writer Ha Il Kwon praised this drama, saying, "I am very happy to see an adaptation of my story. THE SOUND OF MAGIC is a story about the dreams and reality of young people and adults. There are various languages and cultures, but I believe that the theme is close to anyone's life."
