Still a Mystery, These K-Pop Idols Left Their Groups Without Clear Reasons

However, there are some idols who leave even though nothing happened before. According to Koreaboo, here is a list of some K-Pop idols who suddenly left their groups!

1. Woojin former Stray Kids

Woojin debuted as one of the members of Stray Kids in 2018. However, JYP Entertainment announced Woojin's sudden departure in 2019. It was stated that Woojin left Stray Kids due to "personal reasons."

The "real" reason why Woojin left Stray Kids was never revealed. Many netizens assume that he was kicked out of the group because the news came out suddenly.

2. Mirae, Kokoro, and LinLin former members of Cherry Bullet

Cherry Bullet initially debuted in 2018, but the group underwent significant changes in 2019. FNC Entertainment announced that Mirae, Kokoro, and LinLin have withdrawn from the group and canceled their contracts.

There is no further explanation as to why these 3 Cherry Bullet members left the group. It is also unknown what their plans are for the future.

3. Yeonwoo, Taeha, and Daisy former members of MOMOLAND

In 2019, MOMOLAND underwent several significant changes when Yeonwoo and Taeha left the group. MLD Entertainment stated that both of them withdrew because they wanted to start a new career. However, there are some statements that suggest they were expelled from the group.

"I am currently doing a new job. I have no other choice. I have to do this to continue my dream. I feel like I have to do this to survive. I have to do this to continue meeting all of you," wrote Yeonwoo on the fancafe.

Meanwhile, netizens also speculate that Daisy, who had conflicts with MLD Entertainment, was also expelled from the group. After rumors spread that Daisy was dating Yunhyeong from iKON, Daisy's mother asked MLD Entertainment to remove the idol from the agency and even requested compensation.

4. Im Junhyeok former Day6 member

Junhyeok initially debuted as one of the members of Day6 in 2015. He was only part of the group for about a year before resigning.

JYP Entertainment stated that Junhyeok left Day6 due to personal reasons, but there was never any further explanation. Some netizens speculated that Junhyeok was expelled from the group because he was dating. This violates JYP Entertainment's rules, where artists are not allowed to date for the first 3 years of their career.

5. Jessica former Girls Generation member

The K-Pop industry was in an uproar when Jessica left Girls Generation in 2014. The news became even more shocking when Jessica herself admitted that she was expelled from the group by SM Entertainment.

6. Gugudan Members

The case of the Gugudan members is very different from other idols on this list. Apparently, this group was forcibly "disbanded" by their agency, Jellyfish Entertainment. One of the Gugudan members, Sally, recently revealed that their agency told all the Gugudan members to leave their dorm and not come back.

"In early 2019, the agency told me to go home. When I asked them when I should come back, they said I didn't need to come back," Sally.

Until now, there has been no official statement from Jellyfish Entertainment regarding Gugudan.
