SuperM Predicted to be Nominated for GRAMMY 2021, Here's the Explanation

On Monday (6/15) yesterday, American entertainment media Billboard released a list of artists they predict will be nominated for GRAMMY 2021. Billboard divided this list into three categories, namely 'Best Bet', 'Good Chance', and 'Within Reach'. Billboard included SuperM in the GRAMMY nomination list under the 'Within Reach' category for the 'Best New Artist' award.

Billboard reveals that SuperM's achievements as a newcomer group give them an advantage over other artists. If SuperM is truly nominated, they will be the first K-Pop group to be nominated for the 'Best New Artist' award.

"SuperM has the opportunity to become the first K-pop group to be nominated in this category with their self-titled EP, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart," Billboard quoted from Koreaboo.

Led by Taemin from SHINee, Kai and Baekhyun from EXO, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, and Ten and Lucas from WayV, SuperM has been recognized as the Avengers of SM Entertainment from the start because it has talented members from each group. SuperM debuted with their single 'Jopping' on October 4, 2019, and promoted on various television shows in the United States.

The 63rd annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast on January 31, 2021. The eligibility period for nominations will end on August 31, 2020.
