Taeil's Career Journey as a Former NCT Member, Debuting as a Main Vocalist Now Disappoints Fans

Moon Taeil, better known by his stage name Taeil, is a former member of the South Korean boy band NCT. Born on June 14, 1994, in Seoul, South Korea, Taeil held the position of main vocalist in the group.

However, his career was hindered by serious allegations made against him. SM Entertainment, the agency representing Taeil, announced that he could no longer continue his activities as a member of NCT after being accused in a criminal case related to sexual offenses.

Taeil attended Seo Seoul Biological Science High School and was accepted into the Applied Music program at Hanyang University, ERICA Campus, in Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do.

He debuted on April 10, 2016, as a member of the sub-unit NCT U. Taeil was also recorded as a member of the subunit NCT U and NCT 127.

Taeil is also active as a solo artist and has contributed to various drama theme songs and collaborations with other musicians.

For example, he sang "Starlight" for the television series "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One" in 2022, as well as the song "Ordinary Day" with Kyuhyun and Onew during the 2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS

SM Entertainment, the agency representing Taeil, announced that he would no longer be able to continue his activities as a member of NCT after being accused in a criminal case related to sexual offenses.

The agency also stated that Taeil is fully cooperating with the police investigation and will provide further statements as the investigation progresses.

On August 29, 2024, the police confirmed that Taeil is being investigated as a suspect in a sexual crime case. Although rumors about a minor victim have circulated, the police emphasized that these allegations are false.
