Thought to be an Atheist, Here are 6 Proofs that Suho EXO is a Devout Buddhist

Previously, many people called Suho an atheist because of his statement on a radio show. But after that, he always confessed that he is a Buddhist. And here are some proofs that he is a devout religious person.

1. Suho's Confession

In 2015, on the variety show Discovery India, Suho mentioned that he is a follower of the Buddhist religion. When asked when was the last time he prayed at a temple, the leader of EXO admitted that it was on the previous year's Christmas day. The reason he went to the temple was because he felt that Buddha must feel lonely when many people celebrate Christmas.

2. Buddha Lion Picture?

When EXO held a fan meeting in Japan, there was a session where the members had to draw. Suho then drew a lion with a cute shape that made many people laugh.

One fan then explained that the lion picture drawn by Suho resembles a stone statue of the Buddha's protective lion. Does it look similar?

3. Can't Go to the Temple

Last year in 2018, when sending support to his co-star in the drama Rich Man, Kim Ye Won, who became a radio DJ, Suho referred to himself as a Buddhist. Coincidentally, in 2018, Vesak Day coincided with his birthday.

"I want to go to the temple but I'm currently working, even though it's a holiday, so I can't go there. What a pity," he said.

4. Believing in Reincarnation

5. Not a Church Oppa

Due to his handsome face, Suho is often referred to as having an aura like a church oppa, which means a devout and handsome man who can be found in church. Because of this nickname, when appearing on the show Radio Star, Suho was asked if he really is devoutly going to church as claimed by many people.

"Fans say I give off the impression of an oppa you would meet in church. But actually, I am a Buddhist," said Suho, which made many people laugh.

6. Chat with Chanyeol

During his album promotion on a music show, Chanyeol visited Suho. They then chatted with fans on the Lysn app. Chanyeol suddenly said Immanuel, which was responded by Suho with "I'm Buddha" as a joke. Chanyeol then apologized.
