'Unique SM Sub-Unit, Carmen 'Same Group' as D.O. Until Jaemin NCT

Kapanlagi.com - SM Entertainment has just held the SMTOWN concert in Tokyo. On Saturday (7/2/2026), SM released photos of artists backstage with a unique theme for each photo. Each artist from various groups has similarities in group photos that fans say look like a new sub-unit.

1. Hohoho Line

They are called the Hohoho line because their real names or stage names contain 'Ho'. This 'group' consists of Suho EXO, Yunho TVXQ, Minho SHINee, and Johnny NCT, whose real name is Youngho.

2. CHOI Line

The CHOI Line can actually be considered as the tallest members in their respective groups. But they seem to prefer being called the Choi Line because some of them have the surname Choi. Additionally, others also have 'Choi' in their names, even if it's a bit forced.

They are Changmin, whose stage name used to be Choikang Changmin, Choi Minho SHINee, Choi Jiwoo Hearts2Hearts, Chanyeol EXO who can also be arranged as CHOIanyeol, and Choi Siwon Super Junior.

3. Tteokbokki Line

For those wondering why they are called the Tteokbokki Line, it's because of their connection to the traditional Korean food. Sehun from EXO joined SM after being pursued by a talent scout while eating tteokbokki. In Korea, there is a tteokbokki brand called Stella, just like the name Stella Hearts2Hearts. Meanwhile, Kyuhyun from Super Junior is a tteokbokki lover.

4. KA Line

Carmen Hearts2Hearts, Karina from aespa, and Kai from EXO are part of the 'KA' line. The reason is simple, because their names contain the element 'KA'. Karina and Kai are stage names. Carmen is her real name.

5. Statue Line

For those curious why they are referred to as the 'statue' line, it's because their faces are too handsome and unreal, like sculptures that have been carved. They are Sehun from EXO, Sungchan from RIIZE, Taeyong from NCT, Jeno from NCT, and Sion from NCT.

6. Zootopia Line

Suho EXO and Johnny NCT are not just part of the Hohoho line. They seem to want to form their own 'group' and call themselves the Zootopia line because their poses resemble the main characters in the animated film. Suho as Judy and Johnny as Nick.

7. Isolation Neck Line

This line is called the isolation neck line because they have an iconic neck dance move. D.O. EXO with his neck movement in the song Lucky One. Meanwhile, Irene Red Velvet with her movement in the dance of the song Feel My Rhythm. As for Shotaro, it's in the song Make A Wish.

8. Bubble Tea Line

Shotaro is back in the Bubble Tea group. This is all because his name contains the word 'Taro', one of the popular flavors for bubble tea drinks. Yushi NCT and Sehun EXO really love this drink.

9. Ballet Line

From the name alone, it is known that before joining SM, they had learned ballet. This 'group' consists of Kai EXO, Jisung NCT, Mark NCT, and Jiwoo Hearts2Hearts.

10. Nature Line

They consist of Taeyong NCT who has a song titled Rose, D.O. also has a song with the same title and his 'power' in EXO is Earth, Jaehee NCT has a tree as his emoji, Carmen and A-Na Hearts2Hearts also have their own emojis of a palm tree and a sunflower, while Renjun NCT is known to really love flowers.

11. Dubai Chewy Cookies Line

Dubai chewy cookies are a trendy food in Korea and among K-Pop idols. Kai is part of this line because he is the son of the owner of the Dubai chocolate waffle shop. Meanwhile, Ian Hearts2Hearts and Sungchan RIIZE are known to really love this cookie.

12. Charlie Line
