Update on Taeil's Sexual Harassment Case, Police Reveal Investigation Started in June But Only Learned of Report in August

1. Victim Not Minor

The Bangbae Police Station confirmed on Wednesday night (28/8/2024) that they are investigating Taeil for sexual harassment. "This investigation is not related to sexual harassment of underage victims of the same gender," stated the Bangbae Police Station.

"I was at home after work, so I cannot provide information that will be uploaded to the server tomorrow," said Lee In Chun, head of the Women and Youth Division at the Bangbae Police Station.

2. Investigation Since June

On Thursday morning (29/8/2024), the Bangbae Police Station provided some information regarding the Taeil case. They stated that they have been investigating Taeil since June.

To KBS, as reported by Koreaboo, they also stated that Taeil has been charged in a sexual harassment case that cannot yet be explained.

3. Adult Female Victim

Continuing the statement from the previous day regarding the victim Taeil, the Bangbae Police Office stated that the victim is an adult female. The police have not provided specific details or when this sexual assault occurred.

4. SM Clarification Again

SM Entertainment has once again spoken out regarding the Taeil harassment case. According to SM, Taeil was aware that he was reported in mid-August, which led the agency to only then understand that there was an issue. Therefore, Taeil was still able to participate in the NCT 127 comeback and fanmeet.

"The agency and Taeil are aware that this case was reported to the police in the middle of this month. Taeil underwent police questioning on August 28th," said SM.
