Very Diverse, Here Are 9 Nationalities Owned by NCT 2020 Members

Kapanlagi.com - This year, SM Entertainment announced the latest project from NCT titled NCT 2020: RESONANCE. What attracts public attention even more is the addition of 2 new members, Shotaro and Sungchan. With a total of 23 members, NCT becomes the group with the most members in K-Pop history.

Having a global group concept without limits on the number or distance, this does not rule out the possibility of adding new members in the future. In addition, these 23 men also have different nationalities.

Very diverse, here are 9 nationalities owned by the NCT 2020 members!

1. South Korea

Based in South Korea, most of the members come from the Land of Ginseng. They are Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Jisung, and Sungchan. Five of them, namely Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo, promote in the sub-unit NCT 127 and NCT U. The other four members, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, and Jisung, promote in the sub-unit NCT Dream. Meanwhile, Sungchan is a new member who joined the NCT 2020 project.

2. China

Having one sub-unit promoting in China, namely WayV, some NCT members also have citizenship there. They are Kun, Renjun, Winwin, Chenle, and Xiaojun. However, not all of them promote as members of WayV, two of them, Renjun and Chenle, are members of NCT Dream.

3. Japan

Since the sub unit NCT 127 debuted in July 2016, Yuta has been the only member from Japan. However, with the addition of 2 new members this year, one of them is from Japan, namely Shotaro. He joins Yuta as a member with Japanese nationality.

4. Thailand

Although of Chinese ethnicity, Ten was born and has Thai nationality. This idol, whose real name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, is the only NCT member from the Land of White Elephants.

5. Canada

In his life, this idol has lived in 4 cities, namely Toronto, Vancouver, New York, and Seoul. However, Mark Lee, or commonly known as Mark, was born and has Canadian nationality.

6. United States

Johny is also the only member of NCT who holds American citizenship. This man was born in Chicago, United States and is the only child in his family.

7. Taiwan

Ethnically, YangYang is of Chinese descent, but he was born and raised in Taiwan for a long time. However, at the age of 11, his family moved to Germany and he lived there for 6 years before moving to Korea to become a trainee. In terms of nationality, this young man is still a citizen of Taiwan. In a fan meeting, YangYang also mentioned that he holds a Taiwanese passport.

Lucas is of Chinese-Thai descent. His father is from China, while his mother is of Thai heritage. However, this idol, who also goes by the name Wong Yuk Hei, was born in Hong Kong and holds a passport from his country of birth.

9. Macau

Hendery, a member of NCT from the sub-unit WayV, was born in Macau and has studied acting in China to become a comedian. He is a citizen of Macau and holds a passport from that country.

That's the nationality that the NCT members have. It's very diverse, NCT is truly the definition of a global idol group. It's not impossible that in the future there will be a member from Indonesia, right?
