Victims and Witnesses Speak Out About Bullying Case, Extorted and Beaten Severely - Ji Soo Writes a Defense Letter

Kapanlagi.com - The case involving actor Ji Soo is still ongoing. Last Saturday (20/3), MBC True Story Expedition Team aired an exclusive interview with former elementary and middle school student Ji Soo who revealed allegations of bullying and sexual harassment related to the actor.

The victims and witnesses detailed the treatment they received from Ji Soo during their time in school. Ji Soo subjected his former classmates to various forms of bullying, including oppression, extortion, harassment, and other forms of bullying.

"I was severely bullied by Ji-soo. He made me his 'bread delivery person'. He forced me to buy him bread and snacks from the school cafeteria using my own money. He would set a time limit, like 1 or 2 minutes, and if I was late, he would hit me. He would call my phone and say, 'You know you have to bring money tomorrow, right?' It started with 5 to 10 thousand won (around RP 63-127 thousand), but then it increased to 100 thousand won (around Rp 1,274,000). He wasn't joking when he bullied me and he would make me do quizzes and mid-semester exams for him," said victim A, as quoted from Xports News.

1. Not Daring to Report

When asked why they didn't report Ji Soo's actions and his bully gang, victim A stated that they had already done so. However, there were no significant results from their actions.

"We have reported it before, but the bullies are not afraid of the teachers. They will just continue their actions on the next child, and the bullying continues. After that, we started to think that nothing would change even if we reported it, so no one dared to report it after that," victim A continued.

2. Committing Physical Violence

Not only extorting their classmates, one of the victims also revealed that Ji Soo also committed physical violence. If someone couldn't fulfill Jisoo's desires, physical punishment would be the consequence.

"He kicked my buttocks and thighs, hit my head, slapped my face, or punched my chest and stomach. He gave me missions like telling me to stand up during lessons to sing or dance. Basically, I was his clown. He sat in the back row and used me as his shield so he could sleep. If my posture shifted slightly, he would hit the back of my head," B, Ji Soo's classmate during middle school, revealed.

3. Still Angry Until Now

Although it happened years ago, the incident involving Ji Soo still leaves a scar until now. The victims and their families are so angry that they cannot bear to see Ji Soo's face appearing on television.

"I remember one day changing TV channels and Ji Soo appeared. I cursed his face and shouted profanities, hitting my chest and immediately changing the channel," said one of the victims' mothers when visited by the MBC production team.

"I don't watch his dramas. Even now, he makes me shudder with anger. I remember meeting the school principal at that time and being shocked by his attitude," said another victim's mother.
"On the way out, I heard the school principal say, 'They must have a lot of free time. Do they have no connection?' The homeroom teacher even called us and suggested that we move to another place so that our child does not attend the same school as Ji Soo," her husband continued.

4. Feared by Other Students

Ji Soo's presence is a nightmare for other students at school. They try to avoid meeting Ji Soo as much as possible to avoid becoming targets of bullying by the actor born on March 30, 1993.

"Ji Soo bullies many kids. One of my close friends was specifically bullied by Ji Soo. I remember we bought cup noodles and ate them behind the TV at school because we were afraid of meeting Ji Soo in the cafeteria. There is a hiding place behind the school. A grave. My friend is often beaten up at the back school grave," said a classmate, C.

Ji Soo's bullying actions have become more rampant after joining a gang consisting of other troublemaking kids. The impact of Ji Soo and his gang's actions is increasingly severe for the victims.

"Ji Soo was initially a bully in class, he recruited a group of iljin (troublemaking kids who like to disturb). We called them 'Iljin-pam'. After that, Jisoo started using his power to order other iljin kids to carry out his actions. If you resist them, you will be ostracized by all the students in the class and bullied," said Ji Soo's two classmates, D and E.

6. Classmate's Testimony

Among the many accusations directed at Jisoo recently, it turns out that some of them are not true. One of them is the accusation that Ji Soo once forced sexual actions on another male student, which was clarified by one of the witnesses.

"It is true that Jisoo is a bully. He even admitted it himself. But there are some parts that are not true... I just want to make sure he is punished only for what he did in the past. From my memory, I don't remember anything about Jisoo forcing sexual actions on a male student. The first accuser who appeared before was also a cruel bully in the first and second year who became an outcast in the third year. He blamed Jisoo for various things that other kids did to him," said F, Ji Soo's classmate.

7. Different Confession

On the other hand, Ji Soo's elementary school friends revealed something different to the MBC production team. One of them confirmed the news about the sexual actions committed by Ji Soo towards other male students, and some even became direct victims.

"During the retreat, I witnessed him (Ji Soo) forcefully engaging in sexual acts with several boys. Everyone in the class saw it. We pretended not to see it because we didn't want to be the next target," said one of Ji Soo's elementary school friends.

"I saw him putting a bag on another student's head. I was only a victim of mild sexual harassment and verbal abuse, but his behavior worsened over time. I also saw him masturbating in class," added another student.

8. Ji Soo's Defense Letter

Meanwhile, Ji Soo's agency stated in a letter addressed to the program that their actor has contacted the victims to apologize directly. Ji Soo himself also wrote a defense regarding the case that implicated him.

"I associated with a group of troublemakers and foolishly believed in the illusion that I had great power in my hands. However, the claims stating that I oppressed classmates and forced them to buy things, take exams for me, or subjected them to harassment or sexual assault are completely untrue. If given the chance, I would like to apologize to those who were hurt by my actions," Ji Soo wrote to the MBC True Story Expedition Team program.
