Winter Wants aespa to be Called 'KWANGYA's Daughter', What's the Reason?

Kapanlagi.com - aespa officially released their mini album, this girl group from SM Entertainment successfully solidified their position as a rookie monster with over 400 thousand pre-order sales of the mini album. Even the title track Savage managed to top various music charts.

In an interview during the prescon held prior to the release of their mini album yesterday, Tuesday (5/10/2020), the aespa members shared their feelings about their mini album and the song Savage. Giselle revealed that she wants aespa to have a special nickname.

"In our new song Savage, we finally confront the Black Mamba and we want to show our strong but also relaxed side through our performance. So the nickname I want is 'aespa on the Next Level'," she explained.

1. The Title 'Anak Perempuan KWANGYA'

As known, aespa is closely associated with KWANGYA, which is mentioned as a world formed by artists under SM Entertainment, or known as SM Culture Universe (SMCU). Winter also mentioned that aespa is referred to as 'Anak Perempuan KWANGYA'.

"Previously, I said that we wanted to be called KWANGYA Superstars. But now, I want to be called 'Anak Perempuan KWANGYA'. I chose this because we are the youngest group in SMCU, and also because naturally aespa's name is connected to our world, KWANGYA," she explained.

Not only that, Winter also admitted that she is ready to continue doing her best as a response to the love from fans, "I also heard comments from fans saying that aespa never disappoints, and it feels great to hear that from fans. So we plan to do our best to hear it again."
