Kapanlagi.com - The European Union (EU) Film Festival Europe on Screen (EoS) is back offline this year. The festival will take place for 10 days, from June 16 to 25, 2023, in 17 screening locations and 7 cities in Indonesia: Jakarta, Bandung, Bekasi, Denpasar, Medan, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta.

This is the 23rd edition of Europe on Screen (EoS), which has been eagerly awaited by film fans in Indonesia.

"The European film industry is currently experiencing dynamic growth. We are proud to increase the number of European film screenings at this year's festival for all film fans in Indonesia to see," said Vincent Piket, EU Ambassador to Indonesia during the EoS 2023 press conference on June 8 in Jakarta.

1. Screening 73 Films from 24 European Countries

EoS 2023 will screen 73 films from 24 European countries. Two European directors, Marco Martani from Italy and Alexander Bak Sagmo from Denmark, will be present during the festival and hold workshops for local filmmakers, in collaboration with the Jakarta Arts Institute and SAE Institute.

Other European directors, actors, and filmmakers will also participate in the virtual Q&A session of the #EoS23 Film Talk program. All screenings and other events at EoS are free of charge.
