Ada Band and Ian Williams Celebrate Charity Concert for Children with Cancer

Kapanlagi.com - Several musicians participated in the charity event titled Joyful Hearts organized by the Lions Club. The event featured Ada Band and singer Ian Williams, with the main mission of raising funds to help children with cancer.

Although they performed without their main guitarist, Marshal, who is currently battling illness, Ada Band managed to entertain the audience with a series of their hit songs. Their presence brought an atmosphere full of warmth and care.

"Ada Band always wants to be involved in charity events. So they don't only think about the commercial aspect. They also want to share happiness by helping others to be happy," said Ida Rijnsburger, the event committee chair in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, recently.

Naga, the vocalist of Ada Band, asserts that charitable activities like this are an important part of their journey as musicians. According to him, performing for free at charity events is a form of the band's commitment to caring for others.

"Being involved in charity projects has always been a dream for Ada Band. We always tell the management that there should be programs aimed at humanity. So it’s not just about performing for commercial purposes," said Naga.

The charity event successfully raised donations totaling hundreds of millions of rupiah. The funds collected will be used to build special care rooms for children suffering from cancer.

2. Planning to Visit Directly

"There are 24 rooms in the shelter. Each room needs funding of around Rp100 million. So this charity activity is done regularly, so we can contribute more," explained Enny Yuniarti, president of the Lions Club.

In addition to donating, members of Ada Band also plan to visit the shelter directly to encourage the children undergoing treatment. They want to provide moral support to the little patients.

"Later, when the donations have been collected, we will indeed invite Ada Band to the shelter," concluded Ida with great hope.
