"There are several patterns that we changed at that time, and the late musician also said that we should make an album, but in that album, each of us creates a song because previously almost eighty percent of the songs were composed and arranged by Steven Kaligis. Even though we arranged and recorded together," said Rival.

Rival tells that the song that will fill Coconut Treez's new album contains more mature lyrics. Not only that, uniquely in the process of making, the late Steven Kaligis always came to his colleagues to monitor the development of each personnel's song creation.

"Well, we're making something new and arranging it ourselves too. Kang Aci, the drummer who rarely sings, makes a song, I and Mas Tege also make a song. What's interesting is that we get closer when we establish the name Coconut Treez. It feels so close. It's already become a CD," continued Rival.

2. A Dedication

Tege also feels the same as Rival, he also tells how the song he created. Tege called the song he wrote finally became a dedication to the late Steven Kaligis who had preceded them.

"I have a personal experience telling about the late. I was so happy to meet him, who used to be in the afternoon, finally in the morning. We were in quarantine making music so we met him every morning. Finally, I made lyrics about friendship. More mature songs on this new album," said Rival.

3. For Those Who Are Really Far Away

Tege revealed that in this Coconut Treez album, the song he made is So Far Away. It tells about Coconut Treez personnel who are always far from their families when they are on tour. But actually, for the late member, he was really far away.

"I didn't make it on purpose. It's like the late member's song, Tak Terganti," Tege concluded.

4. Wanting Personnel to be More United

At that time, Rival said that the late Steven Kaligis had reason to change the name so that he could be more united with the other personnel. Because initially Steven & Coconut Treez was a solo singer who performed with a band, but over time it formed into a reggae band.

"At that time, it was said to blend in. Initially, Steven & Coconut Treez was a solo singer with a band. Then because now it feels like a family too, he suggested to remove his name. That was a few months before the late member passed away, we patented the name as Coconut Trezz," he added.

From the patented name of the band Coconut Treez, Tege explained that there was doubt about changing the name. However, they questioned more about the seriousness of the late Steven Kaligis in changing the name of the band that had made their name famous.

"We're not against it, but more like, 'are you serious?' The branding of this name is already so strong. He said 'yes' so we agreed to start from scratch. We launched it and we also asked the community how to change the name and fortunately they still support us no matter what the name is," Tege concluded.
