Ariel NOAH Wants to Watch the Peterpan Reunion Concert Live

However, amidst the euphoria, it has been confirmed that the former vocalist, Ariel, along with Uki, will not participate in this nostalgic project.

Ariel candidly revealed his reasons. The vocalist of the band NOAH emphasized that his decision not to join is to preserve the essence of his band's hiatus. According to him, if he takes the stage, the meaning of NOAH's break will be lost.

"Actually, the Peterpan reunion is not really a reunion. It's just for fun, going back to sing Peterpan's songs. Coincidentally, NOAH is currently on hiatus. This format of Peterpan includes Lukman. If I also join in singing, the hiatus of NOAH will be lost, so I can't participate," said Ariel NOAH when met at the Constitutional Court, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (22/7/2025).

Although choosing not to perform, this musician from Bandung gives full support for the reunion concert. For him, this project could be a powerful remedy for the longing of loyal Peterpan fans while NOAH is on hiatus. He hopes that Lukman and friends' performance in a new format can satisfy the longing of Peterpan's friends.

"But I really support it, because it can heal Peterpan's fans during NOAH's hiatus. Even though the vocalists are changing, hopefully it can heal their longing," said Ariel.

Ariel actually admits to being very enthusiastic about the guest vocalist concept that will fill his position. He mentions that names like Ello and Tiara Andini will bring a different and fresh touch to the legendary Peterpan songs.

"It’s going to be fun, there’s Ello, there’s Tiara. You can listen to Peterpan but with a female version, you know. It sounds interesting," he said.

His great curiosity makes him want to directly experience the atmosphere of the concert from the audience's seat. Ariel admits that if there is time and opportunity, he will not miss the moment to see Lukman and the other members perform on stage. He also does not hesitate to express his desire to watch live.

"If there is time, I want to see it," he said.

He also clarified the news that stated he was the one who asked Peterpan to return to making music. The father of one explained that his role is more like a giver of ideas or recommendations, not a command. The idea arose as an alternative to respond to the many requests for performances that came to him personally.

"Actually, if I were to put it plainly, I didn't ask them to come back, it's not like that. But when there is one idea, I kind of recommend it. There are actually requests for me to sing, the requests for me to sing alone are quite a lot actually, but I said I can't," he said.

5. Ariel Gives Ideas to Lukman

Ariel then recounted how he conveyed the idea to Lukman. He saw this as a creative way to continue entertaining fans without violating NOAH's hiatus commitment. According to him, this is the best middle ground that can be taken at this time.

"But if you want to cure the longing of Peter Pan or NOAH fans, there seems to be another alternative. That's why I told Lukman, 'Lukman, it seems like making this would be fun.' So that's more or less the story," explained Ariel.

6. Uki Confirmed Not Participating

Meanwhile, regarding Uki, Ariel confirmed that his former bandmate has no issues with this project. Uki's decision not to get involved is purely because he has firmly decided to step away from the music world professionally. Ariel also explained his friend's position.

"Uki actually has no problem. It's just that Uki has decided not to make music anymore, so it has nothing to do with it," said Ariel.

7. Many Requests to Perform Again

NOAH's decision to take a break has indeed made their fans wonder when they will return. Ariel admits that the requests to perform again have been very numerous, especially after two years of being inactive. He truly feels the longing of his fans.

"Yes, from the fans of Peterpan, NOAH fans are saying, 'why aren’t you performing again, it’s been 2 years'. There are indeed many requests to perform again," said Ariel.

So, how long will this hiatus last? Ariel hinted that NOAH's return heavily depends on their creative process. He emphasized that NOAH will only return to the stage after their new album is completed and ready to be heard.

"It depends on the album, I think. Right now, we are in the process of recording a new album. To avoid getting bored, we want to have something new on stage," he concluded.
