Asked to Sing Old Song Again, Andien: I Immediately Said Yes

Kapanlagi.com - Beautiful singer Andini Aisyah, or better known as Andien, is involved in a collaboration project between MLDSPOT and Yayasan Irama Nusantara, which releases a mini album titled "Lagu Lama dari Masa Lalu Volume 1" (Old Songs from the Past Volume 1).

In that album, Andien sings a cover of the song Kisah Insani (Human Story). A song that was successful in the 80s, originally sung by the duo Chrisye and Vina Panduwinata. 

In the song, Andien also collaborates with renowned musician Mondo Gascaro. Of course, Andien feels happy to be involved in the album "Lagu Lama dari Masa Lalu Volume 1". Because Andien is one of the singers who likes old songs. 

"First when contacted, I immediately said yes. Because I really like singing songs from the old era. I was thinking, can I bring this song? Because the vibe is very different. But I trust Mondo 100 percent to make this song mine," said Andien during a virtual press conference, Wednesday (16/6/2021).

1. 1 Month Working Process

What makes Andien even happier is that she collaborated with Mondo Gascaro on this song. A well-known singer, songwriter, and composer in Indonesia. Andien said that she had been waiting for a long time to collaborate with the former member of the band Sore.

"Because I was so excited, because I had been waiting for a collaboration with Mondo for a long time," said Andien.

Working on the song Kisah Insani, Andien and Mondo Gascaro spent one month from the beginning until it was finished.

"The process took one month. That's from saying 'okay'," Mondo Gascaro concluded.

2. Five Songs in One Album

There are five songs in the album "Lagu Lama dari Masa Lalu Volume 1". First, Walau Dalam Mimpi composed by David Mesakh, previously popularized by Ermy Kulit. This time, the song is sung by the Explorative Pop musician from Bandung, Dhira Bongs.

Second, Senja dan Kahlua by the band Transs, led by famous names like Fariz RM and Erwin Gutawa. This time, the song is performed again by Kurosuke. Third, the song Terbanglah Lepas a creation by Yockie Suryoprayogo. Interestingly, this song is sung again by the beloved child, Aya Anjani feat. Parlemen Pop.

Fourth, the song Dunia Yang Ternoda by Jimmie Manopo. Now, it is sung by the collaboration of Vira Talisa with the champion of the first season of MLDJAZZPROJECT contest, ADORIA. And the fifth one is Mondo Gascaro and Andien. They both sing a cover of the song Kisah Insani which was previously successfully performed by Chrisye and Vina Panduwinata.
