Bandung Punk Band DONGKER Holds Its First Virtual Concert on Roblox

The worlds of music and gaming have intersected again in an unusual way. The punk band from Bandung, Dongker, has just made a splash with their debut performance in the virtual world of Roblox! The virtual concert took place on Sunday (8/3/2025), and immediately became a topic of conversation in the local underground music and gamer community.

This is not just any concert. It is the result of a super cool collaboration between the Roblox Indonesia gigs community, MOSHCORBLOX, and the label Greedy Dust.

The concert audience is also very limited, only open for 200 players for free! So those lucky enough to enter this virtual venue can truly feel a different kind of digital moshpit sensation.

In addition to Dongker, several other Indonesian bands also heated up the Roblox stage, such as Keep It Real, Db Mandela, Dazzle, The Oak Tree, and Enola. All of them performed their songs in a virtual version that remained energetic even through the screen.

For those who don't know, concerts in Roblox allow bands to perform through characters (avatars) that can appear in the game world.

The organizers will build a digital venue or stage with interactive features, complete with live sound, lights, crowd, and animations that depict the energy of a real concert. Bands can record their performances beforehand or perform live with a special audio integration system.

Viewers can simply join a specific world or server in Roblox, then enter the concert area according to the schedule. Inside, they can jump around, dance, and even mosh like Roblox characters while listening to music in real-time. Super fun, especially if you love concerts but can't attend a physical venue.

This concert proves that the local punk music scene is becoming more adaptive to technology. Through Roblox, musicians can reach new listeners from various cities and countries without the hassle of logistics or venue rental. Creative, exciting, and definitely something to be proud of!

So, who says concerts can only happen in the real world? Roblox can also be an equally exciting moshpit arena. Hats off to Dongker and all the bands involved, keep creating and innovating!
