Becoming Music Producer for Singer Faiz Kho, Rowman Ungu Brings Malay Pop Genre Through the Song 'Aku Bukan Untukmu'

Kapanlagi.com - Drummer of the band Ungu, Rowman, produces a talented young singer named Faiz Kho. As his debut as a professional singer, Faiz Kho releases a song titled Aku Bukan Untukmu under the music label Wow Musikindo.

"I discussed with the team at Wow Musikindo and they agreed to release Faiz's first single, Aku Bukan Untukmu," said Rowman at C7 Cafe, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Friday (17/9/2021).

Apparently, Rowman's interest in producing the song Aku Bukan Untukmu is not only because Faiz Kho has a melodious voice. But, Faiz Kho is also skilled in playing music, from drums, bass, to guitar. Not only that, Faiz Kho's enthusiasm for music is very high, especially singing.

"My interest in Faiz is not only because of my closeness to Faiz's parents. But he (Faiz) also has talent. He can sing, play drums, bass, and guitar. He also has a YouTube channel and he has covered my latest work with Ungu. So, for me, it's something worth helping Faiz learn slowly," explained Rowman.

Faiz Kho's seriousness in pursuing a career in the music industry is not just for fun. However, he is truly serious about becoming a professional singer. This is proven by Faiz Kho during the recording process of Aku Bukan Untukmu. Therefore, during the recording of the song, Faiz Kho did not face any obstacles.

"There are no constraints for me to handle it, when taking vocals every time showing the quick notes, I quickly catch it. He wants to keep learning, before taking it, he memorizes it and also puts his soul into it," said Rowman.

As a newcomer singer, Faiz Kho is certainly very happy to be produced by Rowman who has been in the Indonesian music industry for decades. In addition to being an idol, Rowman is also known as a musician who always supports him as a professional singer.

"For me, Babe Rowman is my favorite drummer and as a producer, he always supports me. Like today, he always provides support," said Faiz Kho.

In addition, Faiz Kho is known as a singer who likes to cover Malay genre songs. That's why the song Aku Bukan Untukmu (I'm Not For You) was made in the pop Malay genre.

"The first Malay single, so Faiz likes to cover songs, mostly Malaysian songs. Faiz also often chats with the guitarist of Wings (a Malaysian band) and finally, the support came from him," concluded Rowman.
