Celebrate Iwan Fals' 60th Birthday, Indosiar Presents a Special Concert

Kapanlagi.com - September 3, 2021, is the most special date for musician Iwan Fals. How could it not be, on that date, the owner of the name Virgiawan Listanto turned 60 years old. What's even more special is that on his birthday, the husband of Rosanna released a new album titled Pun Aku.

On the same day, Indosiar also presented a concert titled Konser Spesial Iwan Fals. Surya Citra Media (SCM) Programming Director Harsiwi Achmad said that the Special Concert of Iwan Fals had actually been planned before the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Basically, we have wanted to hold Iwan's birthday event since last year, but due to the pandemic, we had to postpone it. What's trending now is Takdir Cinta Leslar, so we made Takdir Cinta Ulang Tahun Iwan Fals, which coincides with the album launch, and finally we held it," said Harsiwi Achmad in a virtual press conference on Friday (3/9/2021).

Harsiwi said that Iwan Fals is a singer who is close to Indosiar and SCTV. From there, Indosiar provides full support for the singer of the song Bongkar by presenting a special concert for Iwan Fals.

"Our relationship with Emtek has been going on for a long time, and because of certain reasons, we have become very close. We fully support each other. It will definitely be intimate and interesting," he said

1. Special Collaboration with Ariel

During the concert, Iwan Fals gave his best performance. What's more special, Iwan Fals also collaborated with Noah's vocalist, Ariel. Collaborating with Ariel, Iwan Fals sang the song Pesawat Tempur.

"Yes, I also want to perform. But only with Iwan, not with NOAH. So the song chosen is only by Iwan," said Ariel.

It is known that Iwan Fals has just released his latest album titled Pun Aku. This is Iwan Fals' 42nd album throughout his career in the Indonesian music industry. On the same occasion, the man who is familiarly called Bang Iwan also released one of the singles from the album Pun Aku, namely Selamat.

"I also want to have a song like that, because everyone must have a birthday. It's a sacred event, I also want to have it. Basically, that's it. Actually, I have sung this song specially for family and special people. It was just born, the one I sang specially, then chosen by Cikal," said Iwan Fals.

Throughout the process of working on the album Pun Aku, Iwan Fals entrusted everything to his eldest daughter, Annisa Cikal Rambu Basae or commonly known as Cikal. In that album, Cikal and Lafa were trusted to become music producers.

"From the creation process to the final mixing, I just surrender, the producers are Cikal and Lafa. I can't refuse anything, Musica responded to it, I really miss the radios, there's a longing. Yes, this is me," concluded Iwan Fals.
