Close Friend Dies from Depression, Rose Mystica Expresses Sadness Through the Song 'Loved'

"The situation at that time really hit me. I was sad, pitiful, and angry. I cried for days and the feeling of loss didn't go away for months. I felt like losing a friend, feeling like I should have been able to help more," said Rose Mystica to journalists on Tuesday (14/9/2021).

"This condition made me realize that apparently, when he was struggling, he didn't receive much support. From this, I became aware that others who are fighting against depression really need the support of their loved ones," Rose added.

From that experience, Rose Mystica wrote the song "Loved" with English lyrics. According to her, this is an important message to people who are struggling against depression on a wide scale. "I hope the listeners of this song are inspired and always remember that they are valuable," she said.

What makes "Loved" special is that the musical arrangement starts from a minor key and gradually moves towards a major key in the chorus. Then, this change in the musical scale shows the light at the end of the road. It is a relief sought and anticipated by those suffering from psychological problems.

"I use music to help me face the grief of loss, and turn it into something positive. I believe "Loved" can speak directly to those in need and encourage them to continue fighting for their mental health," Rose concluded.
