Collaboration of Joko In Berlin and Shyclops Releases Music Video 'Overthinking', Presenting an Electric Pop Color Nuance

Kapanlagi.com - The band Joko in Berlin (JIB) has released a music video titled 'Overthinking' resulting from a collaboration with Tivv (vocals) and Zeal (guitar) who are part of Shyclops.

The music video 'Overthinking' was directed by Okky Hawin Prasetyo. Joko in Berlin, consisting of Popo Fauza (Keyboard & Synth), Mellita Sarah (Vocal), and Fran Rabit (Bass), presents an electric pop color nuance that matches the music genre.

"This video is very philosophical, filled with eccentric symbolic metaphors with an electric pop color nuance. Joko in Berlin, who usually performs preppy and elegant, now appears strange and barbaric," said Popo Fauza in his press statement on Friday (3/12/2021).

For the arrangement of the song, Joko in Berlin and Shyclops invited the current generation to remember and reminisce with pop electronic dance music (EDM) from the 80s era.

"This collaborative music reminds us of the fusion of pop EDM elements, 80s new wave, with a touch of punk rock. Listeners feel like they are riding at sunset in a sweet, cool, relaxed atmosphere, with an enthusiastic rhythm," he said.

In the lyrics, Joko in Berlin and Shyclops portray the song Overthinking, telling about excessive thinking about something. According to him, this way of thinking often causes problems or complicates situations.

So, just go with it, enjoy the process, and feel the ups and downs that will make us more mature. Don't overthink this feeling...let it flow," he said.
