"So actually what I pay is not performing rights, because Queen doesn’t have a representative here. Well, Queen doesn’t have a representative for performing rights in Indonesia, but if I play their song on YouTube or Spotify, they have a representative," Dhani clarified.

2. Dewa 19 Only Pays Queen's Copyright on Online Platforms

Dhani revealed that the use of Queen's songs on digital platforms like YouTube and Spotify requires stricter royalty payments. "If Dewa 19 sings ‘Under Pressure’ on YouTube or Spotify, they have a representative here. That must be paid. If not paid, the video can be taken down immediately. They already have a system like that,' he added.

Dhani also discussed the difference between performing rights and mechanical rights. However, for Queen's songs, Dewa 19 pays copyright if they perform the songs of the British band online.
