Dinda Ghania Collaborates with Melly Goeslaw on Fourth Single, 'Teman Rasa Pacar'

Now, under the label Mans Entertainment, Dinda introduces her fourth single titled Teman Rasa Pacar (Friend Feels Like a Lover). What's special is that Dinda collaborates with the Queen of Indonesian Soundtrack, Melly Goeslaw, on this latest single.

"Yes, this song is about my personal story. At that time, I went to Melly's house and confided in her because there was a friend who wanted to date me but I refused because I only wanted to be friends. Aunt Melly said that my story would make a good song," Dinda reminisces.

It turns out that Melly has been captivated by Dinda's talent for a long time. And during the collaboration process on the song Teman Rasa Pacar (Friend Feels Like a Lover), Melly faced a difficulty, which was when writing the lyrics. She didn't want to burden Dinda, who is only 11 years old, with lyrics that are too mature or vulgar, even though the song itself is about love.

"I have been in the music industry with Mas Anto for 26 years, and it's our responsibility to find new talents. And for Dinda, I have fallen in love with her because she is already good at covering songs and singing well. The challenge for us as composers is to make a song for an 11-year-old child, especially in the lyrics. How can we make a young child enjoy it, yet also appeal to teenagers or adults? We can't make a song that is too childish but also can't have lyrics that are too vulgar," Melly explained.

The hope is that Dinda's song Teman Rasa Pacar (Friend Feels Like a Lover) can bring a new color to the music industry in the homeland and be enjoyed by many people. It's not without reason, as the lyrics and story are believed to represent some of the experiences of certain segments of society.
