D'MASIV Invites Ari Lesmana to Enliven the '20AD TO THE WORLD' Concert in Singapore, First Time Performing Together on One Stage

Kapanlagi.com - After successfully entertaining thousands of fans in Malaysia for two consecutive days in June, the band D'MASIV finally greeted the people of Singapore through the concert '20AD TO THE WORLD'.

The concert, held on July 6, 2023, also became a special moment for the band consisting of Rian Ekky Pradipta (vocalist), Dwiki Aditya Marsall (guitar), Nurul Damar Ramadan (guitar), Rayyi Kurniawan Iskandar Dinata (bass), and Wahyu Piadji (drums) to celebrate their 20-year musical journey.

In the concert, D'MASIV gave a special surprise to their fans in Singapore by bringing Fourtwnty vocalist, Ari Lesmana, as a special appearance to sing the song 'Merindukanmu' (Missing You). This duet between Ari and D'MASIV is their first performance on the same stage.

Ari's signature barefoot stage performance with Rian successfully mesmerized more than 2,000 spectators who attended The STAR Theatre. Even Rian praised Ari's melodious voice during the concert, which left him amazed.

“Music takes us to the best places. Thank you Singapore for the beautiful night, last night was amazing, thank you for singing out loud, masivers! And @ari_lesmana, thank you for the beautiful voice on 'Merindukanmu', finally witnessing an indie child singing a melancholic song. Thanks, bro!” expressed Rian as quoted from his Instagram post.

In addition to Ari Lesmana, the audience was also presented with a performance by the Malaysian band Kugiran Masdo as the opening band, known for their 60s pop-themed songs such as 'Dinda', 'Janji Manis', and 'Teruna & Dara' which went viral on social media.

1. D'MASIV Performs Hit Songs

In the concert that lasted approximately 3 hours, D'MASIV performed 26 songs divided into 3 sessions. In session 1, there were 12 songs including Rindu Setengah Mati, Natural, Cinta Sampai Di sini, Aku Percaya Kamu, Besok, Ingin Lekas Memelukmu Lagi, Dengarlah Sayang, Tak Punya Nyali, Salah Paham, Lukaku, Sebelah Mata, Ilfil.

Then in session 2, there were 4 songs, namely Dilema, Sudahi Perih Ini, Apa Salahku dan Jangan Menyerah. And in session 3, there were 10 songs including Side by Side, Pergilah Kasih, Esok Kan Bahagia, Kau yang tak Pernah Tahu, Tak Bisa Hidup Tanpamu, Merindukanmu feat Ari Lesmana, Diantara Kalian, Semakin, Diam Tanpa Kata, and Cinta Ini Membunuhku.

2. Collaboration with Promoter

In their first solo concert in Singapore, D'MASIV collaborated with Nusantaiment, an event platform and promoter that focuses on providing a creative gathering space and creating high-quality world-class entertainment.

Jehan Albert Fauzie, Business Director of Nusantaiment, explained that through this concert, D'MASIV hopes to reach a wider audience of Indonesian music enthusiasts from various parts of the world.

"This concert in Singapore is a moment for us to unite Masivers worldwide as one entity, and our hope is that we can give them an unforgettable experience like what we did in Malaysia without time limits," said Jehan.

In the "20AD TO THE WORLD" concert, the successful promoter created a concept of a magnificent performance and stage for D'MASIV, with stunning lighting arrangements similar to international concerts that have never been done before in previous Indonesian musicians' concerts at The Star Theatre.
