Dul Jaelani Officially Announces New Band Named Qodir, Releases Album Titled "Seribu Bulan"

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, Dul Jaelani, the youngest son of Ahmad Dhani, has officially announced his new band named Qodir. Not only forming a new band, Dul and other members also released an album titled Seribu Bulan on April 22, 2022.

Qodir Band brings rock music where all 4 members share the same love for rock music. Qodir is led by 4 young members, namely Dul Jaelani, Muhammad Xaviar, Deriel Sudiro, and Axel CB.

1. Thick Rock Music

In the Qodir band, Dul Jaelani is not only the vocalist but also the initiator of the band along with three of his friends who share the same passion for thick rock music.

"We titled this album Seribu Bulan (A Thousand Months). The reason is that each song depicts various and different nuances. Qodir raises social issues that occur in teenagers today, such as teenage anxiety, freedom of expression, rebellion, aspirations, social media unrest, and psychological problems. Qodir voices this through their first single, titled Sakit Cinta (Love Pain)," said Dul Jaelani, who wrote many of the lyrics and directly oversaw the production of this debut album.

2. Inspiration from Youth Issues

The Qodir band is greatly inspired by youth issues today, such as mental illness. The song Sakit Cinta (Love Pain) discusses someone who is depressed and suffers from mental illness because of love.

It can be said that the Seribu Bulan album is another side of Dul Jaelani who wants to explore the life of today's youth, which is full of dynamics and romance.

3. Once Founded a Band Named Backdoor

Dul Jaelani himself once founded a band named Backdoor in 2013, whose songs also voiced similar things to the Qodir band. Unfortunately, it went on hiatus in 2016.

Now, Dul Jaelani revives his rock band with the name Qodir with a spirit that is more or less the same as Backdoor. With a new spirit and a broader vision, Qodir can be more relevant in terms of its lyrics and, of course, its musical arrangements.
