Dul Jaelani Releases Album 'Dewa 19 Experience', Presents Fresh Arrangements

"Yes, today alhamdulillah we have an event for the launch of the digital album Dewa 19 Experience. That is, the songs of Dewa with new arrangements and, God willing, more, what is it, younger," said Dul Jaelani when met in Bajawa Kemang, South Jakarta, Friday (22/5/2026).

Dul acknowledges that reinterpreting songs that have become legends comes with its own challenges. He feels the need to maintain the original spirit of the song while still providing his personal identity as a young musician.

For him, working on this album is both a proof and a form of tribute to Dewa 19. He realizes that listeners' expectations are very high for the great works of his father, Ahmad Dhani.

"The challenge is whether we can make Dewa's songs not disappointing, in the sense that we are afraid that many listeners won't meet expectations," said Dul.

Vega Antares, as the music director, added that this album still retains some important essences of Dewa 19. However, studio exploration was conducted very thoroughly to achieve a modern sound quality.

"So Pakde Dhani's production also follows the times, but we chose these 10 songs to create in our own style, right Dul?" said Vega Antares on the same occasion.

The songs selected for this album are favorite tracks tailored to Dul's vocal character. Several supporting musicians like Axl Ramanda and SAS21 were also involved to enhance the musical atmosphere of the album."Because these are the songs that I and we like," said Dul Jaelani
