Fatin Shidqia Gifts Her Fans the Single 'Tidur Siang' on Her Birthday

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesian female musician and contestant from the talent search show X Factor Indonesia, Fatin Shidqia, just celebrated her birthday on July 30. The singer of the song Aku Memilih Setia has been in the Indonesian music industry for nearly half her life. Participating in a talent search at the age of 16, Fatin, now turning 30, has released a long-awaited song for her fans.

The single Tidur Siang was released exactly on Fatin Shidqia's birthday. She considers this song a gift as well as a reflection of the 29 years of life experiences she has gone through.

"So when I was making this, those 29 years of experiences made me want to look back at my childhood," Fatin revealed at the Release Party for Tidur Siang, Friday (14/8/2026).

1. About Naptime

The birth of the song concept Naptime originated from Fatin's struggles at the end of her 20s. She feels that the onslaught of technology, especially social media, often makes people feel rushed and turns life into a 'race of life'. Through this song, Fatin wants to convey a message about the beauty of childhood and the importance of believing in destiny, the timing set by God.

However, in terms of lyrics, this song depicts the irony of life where naptime, which we often overlooked as children due to our desire to play, has become a luxury and difficult to achieve as we reach adulthood.

"At first, there was some doubt about naming it Naptime, but then again, I thought, if Naptime is trivial, trivial for whom? For us back then, right? But not for us now," said Fatin while pointing to her picture on the screen.

This song invites listeners to reminisce about the beautiful school days, napping after school, then going out to play, or even skipping naptime to go play.

During the Release Party for Tidur Siang, Fatin revealed that there will be a release of the next album that she and the Sony Music team are currently working on. However, it cannot be said when the album will be released. What is certain is that Fatin mentioned the album will not be released in the near future. She also gave a hint about the songs in the next album, which she wrote openly about life.

"God willing, the album will be released again. But again, not in the nearest timeframe. God willing, the next songs I will strive for will have lyrics that are more straight forward. Like the type of lyrics that are like the second verse of Tidur Siang," Fatin revealed.
