Kapanlagi.com - As the featured vocalist of Dewa 19, Marcello Tahitoe, or commonly known as Ello, often has to leave his child and wife due to his packed schedule of performances with his band.

However, Ello does not want to feel like he is losing his two loved ones in his life while he is busy with his concert tours. Therefore, Ello has found ways to overcome this longing.

"Well, I want to be with my child and wife as much as possible, so whenever there is a tour for like five days, I try to include two days for them. I miss them so much, sometimes I even go to big cities just to see them because I miss my child so much, he is so cute," said Ello when met in Sudirman area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (6/10/2023).

In addition, Ello often takes the time to communicate with his beloved son, Dunia Tahitoe. He uses video call technology, sends photos, and chats with his child to maintain closeness with his family despite the distance.

"Fortunately, there is video call technology, sending photos, chatting, but if I miss him so much," said Ello.

2. Request for Rest

Ello also tries to request for vacation schedules to spend time with his family. When the tour schedule is busy and Ello feels very homesick, he will ask for permission from his manager to have one or two days off. Not only to rest vocally, but also to be at home and with family.

"So, for example, if there's a series of 10 consecutive days of schedule, I ask my manager if it's possible for me to have a break and rest vocally for a day or two. It turns out that's love for me," he said.

"Now I like watching my son sleeping, actually I've always liked it, but until now," concluded Ello.
