From “Now There Is None” to “Happy News”, the band Rumahsakit was well-received at Soundfest 2025

Kapanlagi.com - The band Rumahsakit performed on the second day of the Soundfest 2025 event held at JiExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (24/5/2025). Their presence was one of the most anticipated moments for the loyal fans of the indie pop band.

Rumahsakit's performance started on the Iceperience stage, with a warm atmosphere felt from the beginning. The vocalist of Rumahsakit, Muhammad Arief Bakrie, immediately greeted the audience with an enthusiastic message.

“Thank you Soundfest. Our roadman said it would be quiet, but it’s quite lively. It’s nice and happy, crowded in the afternoon. That means there are many patients,” Arief said to open the performance.

The opening song they performed was “Nothing Lasts Forever,” which was immediately met with enthusiastic applause. Not stopping there, Rumahsakit continued their performance with songs from various albums.

The song “Singing While Waiting” from the album 1+2 was the second song performed that afternoon. Arief even asked the audience about their favorite songs from their old albums.

“Who here has listened to the album +imless? That means you know the song ‘Now There Is None.’ The song was created by our bassist,” Arief said as he introduced the third song.

1. Carry Old Works

The band now fronted by Arief (vocals), Marky Najoan (guitar), Mickey Najoan (keyboards), Fadli Wardhana (drums), and Shendy Adam (bass), is indeed known for its consistent signature music style. The fourth song performed is titled “Normal” from their latest album, which also marks the moment Arief shares news about their upcoming release.

"Just now the title is 'Normal' from our latest album. We are also planning to release a single. Hope you like it," he said.

In that concert, Rumahsakit also featured old works that hold a special place in the hearts of their fans. One of them is the song “Apa yang Tak Bisa”, which Arief mentioned has even been used as a thesis topic.

"The next song from the album +imless, this song is quite liked, even made into a thesis. This one is titled 'Apa yang Tak Bisa'," said Arief.

2. Happy to Play at the Festival

Arief mentioned that performing at festivals like Soundfest provides a unique experience because the audience is diverse. He hopes that the presence of the hospital can reach new listeners.

“The fun of playing at a festival is that the audience is diverse. Maybe there are some who are watching the hospital for the first time, hopefully, they will become part of Ruang Pasien,” he said.

The next songs like “Duniawi” and “Panasea” were performed in sequence, creating an even warmer atmosphere. Arief also shared the good news that the album +imless has received recognition as one of the best albums.

“Today we got the news that the album +imless is included in the best albums from Hombase Pop Indo,” said Arief before singing “Panasea.”

After that, the songs “Sandiwara Semu” and “Pop Kinetik” were also performed with maintained energy. Arief expressed his gratitude to the fans who were present at the festival area.

“Thank you to Ruang Pasien for coming. Hopefully, there will be more of you,” he said, greeted by applause from the audience.

Towards the end of the performance, the hospital performed the songs “Kuning” and “Kabar Bahagia” as a closing. The vocalist also expressed gratitude to the organizers.

“Thank you Soundfest for inviting us, the hospital. This one is titled 'Happy News,'" said Arief before concluding the performance.

The presence of the hospital at Soundfest 2025 not only serves as nostalgia for long-time fans but also as a delightful introduction for new listeners. Through beautifully arranged songs, the band proves their consistency in musicality on the big festival stage.
