Iconic Tourist Heats Up the JakCloth 2025 Stage, Admits to Nervousness and Wants to Collaborate with Erwin Gutawa

Kapanlagi.com - The new alternative rock band, Iconic Tourist, successfully shook the JakCloth 2025 stage on Friday (26/12/2025). Performing stunningly around 8:00 PM WIB, Jova Quincy Rangkuti and friends immediately heated up the atmosphere by performing hit songs from their debut album, such as Too Tired and No One is Going to Know the Difference.

Their debut performance at a large music festival like JakCloth left a deep impression on the band members. Jova, the vocalist and guitarist, admitted to feeling a mix of high enthusiasm and unavoidable nervousness when seeing the sea of the audience.

"We haven't played and have never been to JakCloth, so this is definitely an experience. The crowd is exciting; hopefully, when we perform, the crowd will be the same because we are indeed a new band," said Jova when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (26/12/2025).

1. Iconic Tourist Drummer Admits to Nervousness

Reno, the drummer, did not deny his nervousness. He even joked that his anxiety might be clearly visible on his face, but he tried to remain professional so it wouldn't affect the band's performance on stage.

"I think my nervousness shows on my face. It definitely looks like I'm nervous. But hopefully, it won't affect our performance later," said Reno with a laugh.

2. Iconic Tourist Performs Energetically

Despite this, Iconic Tourist managed to perform energetically and entertain the audience. The band, formed in 2019, also played other hits like Whispers, Oh Honey, and Give it to Me, proving their quality after releasing the album If There Were A Band At The Opera in February 2025.

Not only focused on the present stage, Iconic Tourist also has big dreams for the future. One of their main goals is to collaborate with legendary musician Erwin Gutawa, due to their interest in orchestral elements.

"We want to collaborate with Erwin Gutawa. That’s one of our biggest wishes, we want to collab with Om Erwin too. Because we like orchestral elements," Reno said hopefully.

3. Iconic Tourist Open to Collaboration

In addition to Erwin Gutawa, Jova emphasized that his band is very open to collaboration with other musicians who share a similar vision. They do not limit themselves to any specific genre or big names.

"Maybe there will be. We don’t know who or what the concept will be like, but there might be. We are very open if anyone wants to invite us to play," Jova added.

4. Iconic Tourist Will Continue to Be Productive

Moving forward, Iconic Tourist is committed to remaining productive, both in terms of performing and producing new works, in order to maintain their existence and bring a new color to the Indonesian music industry.

"Yes, we hope to have many activations and activities that we can do under this band's name. We want to be able to produce again, market something again, and continue to create," Reno concluded the discussion.
