Inocent Purwanto Releases 'Sirna', A Heartfelt Expression Delayed for 7 Years

The origin of this song is quite simple. Inocent was humming without any specific purpose at that time. From that spontaneous process, a piece of the chorus emerged, which then developed into a complete song over time.

"It initially came about just like that when I was humming. Suddenly, I remembered something that had happened in my past, and from there, the chorus was born. After that, it was developed together with a partner in making the song until it was finally complete with verses and a bridge," Inocent shared.

Although it has been finished for a long time, the release of this song was delayed. In fact, the plan to release it even emerged a year after the writing process was completed. However, various situations forced Inocent to postpone until this song was finally released six to seven years later.

In terms of the title, Sirna also went through a fairly long discussion process. Initially, this song was titled Tak Mampu Pergi (Unable to Leave). However, Inocent and the team felt that this title did not strongly represent the meaning they wanted to convey, so the word Sirna was ultimately chosen.

Broadly speaking, this song raises the theme of hope in a relationship that does not go as desired. The story depicts someone who has placed great hope, only to face the bitter reality that not all love stories end happily.

For Inocent, Sirna is a very personal work. This is the first time he has created a song that is truly inspired by his own life experiences, making the creative process feel more emotional and honest.In the production process, Inocent collaborated with a team from SOEX Studios. He also involved Andre Lizt as Music Director and Barsena Bestandhi as Vocal Director. The production process lasted for about two months until the song was finally ready to be released.

Through Sirna, Inocent hopes that listeners who are experiencing loss can feel represented. This song also marks the first step towards his upcoming EP project planned for release this year, signifying a new chapter in his career journey in the music industry.
