Inspired by the Moral Message in Late 90s Religious Soap Opera, Worship Releases Single Mesin Waktu

Kapanlagi.com - Heavy stoner rock newcomer in the local music scene industry, Worship, released the digital mini album "ROCK PETAKA" on digital music platforms at the end of 2020. Several wild tracks like Mesin Waktu, Tony Hoax, and Rock Petaka are ready to hit hard in the ears through distortion, packaged with a sound character that has a distinctive composition of vintage and modern rock music.

Led by Fajrin Nitipraja on vocals, this expresses moral criticism about social phenomena, familiar foolishness issues circulating from the 90s to the present.

1. Presenting Many Moral Messages

Friends must be familiar with one of the religious-themed soap operas that aired in the late 90s and early 2000s on one of the national television stations. This religious soap opera is divided into six sessions, and it presents many moral messages about life seen from various perspectives, indirectly providing valuable lessons in appreciating better values to live by.

The song Mesin Waktu is written based on the comparison of norms and values that are inversely proportional to the current technological developments that cannot be stopped, where social media has become commonplace with all the gimmicks that form and create a negative stigma and negative image for the perpetrators, and everything is allowed in order to achieve satisfaction and fame.

Mesin Waktu is packaged with a vintage sound with modern distortion that highlights the distinctive sound of the guitar, and with singable lyrics that make people sing along while enjoying the sound of distortion.

2. Meeting at the Wrong Music Studio

Worship was formed in 2019 when Fajrin (vocals) and Adrel (guitar) accidentally met at a music studio in Bekasi, West Java. At that time, both of them did not have any projects with any bands.

Armed with having previously been in an extreme metal band that was very segmented in the market, they thought of creating a rock stoner / heavy rock band, where people could "easily" enjoy the power of lyrics and guitar distortion. At that time, they agreed to form Worship. To complete the other instrument positions, they invited Panji (bass) and Qory (drums).

Worship itself was spontaneously formed because we are workers and not full-time musicians, that's where we came up with the name Worship which means worship, in the connotation of worshiping work. So, amidst our busy schedules that we consider as a mandatory need as workers, we still have a great passion and still want to have fun with music.
