1. The Story Behind 'Sleeping With The Lights On'

In an exclusive interview with the KapanLagi team, Jade revealed that this song is very personal and full of emotion for her. The lyrics tell a personal experience about her difficult times, "The lyrics are inspired by personal experiences of heartbreak, losing friends, and tough times. All the lyrics feel raw and honest. The production and vocals are intentionally made to enhance that sad atmosphere, and I really love it," she expressed.

Through this song, she wants to convey that it’s okay to feel sad because it’s a natural thing, "I want them to know that it’s okay to feel sad. It’s a normal and human thing. I used to often look for sad songs to feel less alone, and I hope this song can provide the same feeling for others," she added.

In the production process, Jade was heavily involved with her producer, JVP. She admitted to having difficulty playing the guitar herself on this song. "I was quite involved in the entire process. Me and my producer, JVP, are very close and often discuss the direction. I even played the guitar myself on this song, even though I'm not a professional guitar player. I taught myself, so my playing style is a bit unique. This is also the first time I've recorded guitar for my own song, and I'm proud of the result," said Jade LeMac.

Jade LeMac also revealed that the recording process for this song was relatively quick because the song was already completed by Jade, and the rest was just adding the bridge and outro.

In an exclusive interview with the KapanLagi team, Jade shared a little about her upcoming EP. Jade explained, "The theme revolves around feelings that arise at night. I feel all my emotions become stronger when the lights go out and I'm alone. Each song on this EP represents a different emotion, there's one about heartbreak, love, and meeting someone. This EP is like a journey through the various feelings that come when night falls."

This EP is special because Jade feels she has worked very hard with her producer and experimented with new things. Jade also revealed one song that she really loves, which is Sweet Dreams, this song will have a more upbeat vibe compared to the others.

The EP titled It's Always At Night will contain 6 songs and will be released on November 7, 2025, on various streaming platforms.
