Kidos Band Presents 'Be the Best', An Inspiring Children's Song

Starting from a virtual stage during the pandemic, this program has now evolved into a direct platform for children to perform in front of the public, with full support from Mydoremi. The song "Jadi yang Terbaik" is scheduled for release on November 20, 2024, coinciding with World Children's Day.

This celebration becomes an important moment to listen to children's voices and advocate for their rights. "We want to show that Indonesian children have a great spirit to be at the forefront," said Michael, the drummer of Kidos Band and a young producer directly involved in the creative process of this song in Kemang, South Jakarta, Wednesday (11/12/2024). 

This song carries a strong message about the importance of cultural identity in the midst of the digitalization era. "Through this song, we want Indonesian children to be proud of their culture while also continuing to create with high spirits," said Marvin.

The lyrics of the song talk about courage, optimism, and the fighting spirit, designed to be relevant to the experiences of Indonesian children. The creation process of the song 'Be the Best' involved Olivia Illona as the main composer and arranger.

However, there is something special about this song, which is the direct participation of the members of Kidos Band in writing the lyrics. Michael, Mercy, and Marvin collaborated to compose the notation and words that depict the struggles of children to be the best. This shows that children can also create quality works with the right support.

Kidos Band's seriousness in music has gained international attention. The legendary band Coldplay even provided a keyboard to Kidos Band to support their performance in Indonesia. "This support is a great motivation for us to continue creating and sharing happiness with our songs," said Mercy.

In addition, the release moment of this song was also colored by social actions. Kidos Band distributed musical instruments to several children's foundations, such as the Indonesian Children's Cancer Charity Foundation and the Berkat Mandiri Channel Foundation. "We want music to be a spirit for all children to keep dreaming big," said Tata.
