LMK Pelari Gives Awards to Indonesian Music Figures

Kapanlagi.com - The Collective Management Institution for Songwriters and Recording Industry of the Archipelago (LMK Pelari) held a halal bihalal event as well as awards for major musicians in the development of music in the country. The event was held at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta on Wednesday (6/1) yesterday.

Chairman of LMK Pelari Sandec Sahetapy who attended the event welcomed it with joy. Moreover, the event coincided with the 5th anniversary of LMK Pelari and also Pancasila Birth Day.

"We appreciate the services of legendary musicians whose works not only color the Indonesian music treasury. But also inspire and help the development of the Music Industry in Indonesia. There are legendary names like Ismail Marzuki, Enteng Tanamal, Bing Slamet, Chandra Darusman and others," said Sandec.

1. Award Recipients

The names of major musicians who received awards include:

• Chandra Darusman as Intellectual Figure of Music Copyright,
• Enteng Tanamal as Music Copyright Fighter,
• Bing Slamet as Music Copyright Initiator,
• Fritz Aritonang as a Fighter for Copyright and Founder of LMK Pelari,
• Ismail Marzuki as Great Composer of Indonesia, and
• WR Soepratman as National Hero and Creator of the National Anthem of Indonesia Raya.

2. Insurance

Meanwhile, the musicians and songwriters who will represent Pijar insurance are Fariz RM, John Paul Ivan, Sandy Sulung, Michael Tahendung, S Fenty Nur, Mangara T Manik, Zahir Cok Lubis, Tito Soemarsono, Titin Novitasari, and Andika Joko Mulyanto.
