Looking Fresher, D'Masiv Officially Changes Iconic Logo to Upright and Maroon

Kapanlagi.com - Following the decision to pursue an independent path, D'Masiv has made a major overhaul of their visual identity. The band, popular for the song Cinta Ini Membunuhku, has officially introduced a new logo that carries a different philosophy from the previous one.

This logo change is considered important to depict the new spirit of D'Masiv after parting ways with their old label. The new logo was introduced alongside the launch of their international single in Central Jakarta.

"We definitely want to let you know that we have changed something, which is the logo. The logo that used to be in capital letters and orange is now changed to maroon, a maroon red color. It used to be slanted but now it stands upright," said Rian D'MASIV when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (20/5/2026).

1. Changes to the Quotation Mark Symbol

One of the most striking details of the new logo is the change to the quotation mark or apostrophe symbol. Rian explained that there is now a paper plane symbol incorporated into their band name.

"Then in the apostrophe part, which used to be ordinary, now there is a symbol, namely a paper plane. That's the new thing from D'MASIV today," said the vocalist.

2. Maintain the Essence of Music

Although they made quite radical visual changes, D'Masiv still maintains the essence of their music. Rian reassured fans that the heartbreaking love themes will still be the main strength in their latest works, even though they are packaged in English.

"So there will still be songs that may be heartbreaking, but now maybe the understanding isn't just for Indonesians, but in the Philippines, people can understand better because it's in English, or maybe in America or the UK or Australia, they can understand our songs like that," he said.

3. Optimistic

High optimism is now carried by the members of D'Masiv. They believe that with a broader visual identity and musicality, the dream of being recognized on the international stage can soon be realized.

"Yes, definitely, when we talk about language, English is the global language. So for us, it's important if we want to be recognized more widely, we really have to use English, that's what we think," said Rian.
