Lost in the Coldplay Ticket War, Andi/Rif: I Used to Buy Tickets at Bu Dibyo's Place

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Andy/Rif had to cancel his plan to watch Coldplay's concert at the Main Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK) in November. The vocalist of the band /rif did not get the concert ticket.

"What surprised me was that it's harder to get Coldplay concert tickets here compared to getting tickets for other big bands' concerts abroad, it's so easy to get," said Andy/Rif in Tendean, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/5/2023).

Andy revealed that buying concert tickets these days is very different from the past. According to him, ticket sales at that time could only be obtained offline.

"The term 'ticket war' has just emerged recently, back then when I bought tickets, I bought them at rajakarcis, at Bu Dibyo's place if in Jakarta. If in Bandung, it was at the radio stations in Bandung, and the ticket was still in physical paper form," he said.

Although unable to get a ticket, the singer of Radja's songs also appreciates the enthusiasm of Coldplay fans in the homeland.

"It's amazing that the band can hypnotize music lovers to flock to watch their concert," he said.

However, Andy admitted that he would not refuse if someone gave him a Coldplay ticket voluntarily.

"If asked whether I want to watch or not, if someone wants to give me a ticket, I would watch, if not, it's because I don't know it's hard to buy," Andy concluded while laughing.
