Love Hindered by Parental Blessing, Jeyma Monica Presents New Song

"Honestly, the song Restu was created because I used to have someone special but at that time we didn't have my parents' blessing, because my parents hoped that I could focus on my career in the music world first," said Jeyma, to journalists recently.

He revealed that initially he tried to create the song 'Restu' alone, but with the help of his father, who is also a musician, they successfully developed the song until it reached a satisfying final result.

The song 'Restu' is produced by 13 Nadi Entertainment and is Jeyma Monica's second single after releasing 'Gara-gara Kamu' in 2020. The production process of this song went smoothly and quickly, resulting in an extraordinary work.

"Although the true story of the song 'Restu' doesn't have such a happy ending, because in the end we had to choose our own paths. But I am happy to be able to immortalize this story into a song," he said.

"The production process was also great, from recording to shooting the music video, I am really happy with the results. Hopefully, it will be well received," he added.

2. Hoped to Become a Wedding Song Despite the Unhappy Ending

Although the original story of the song Restu does not have a happy ending, Jeyma hopes that this song can be part of the wedding song list in Indonesia.

Jeyma also hopes that the song Restu will inspire many people who experience similar struggles in obtaining their parents' blessing for their relationship. This song can be a touching accompaniment in their future happy wedding moments.

"I have already written the lyrics, there is already a melody, the concept is already mature. But when I tried to sing it, I didn't get the 'feel' yet? Finally, my father helped me to work on it and it became the final result as it is now released," she said.
